Ayvacık County’s coastal waters revealed a smuggling boat carrying an illegal migrant group, detected by the Coastal Security Transportable Radar (MORAD-8). As a result, teams were mobilized to the area.
The inflatable boat, which was intercepted by Marine Security vessels ‘TCSG-6’ and ‘KB-4304’, contained a total of 24 illegal migrants, including four children.
After the procedures, the illegal migrants were handed over to the Ayvacık Refugee Preliminary Reception and Dispatch Center (GÖKSEM).
