Social Security Institution’s announcement stated that the bonuses will be paid to eligible individuals under Social Security Fund on March 24th, 25th, and 26th, respectively for the people who retired under SSK, and on March 27th under Bağ-Kur, and March 28th under Emekli Sandığı. The proposal that raises the bayram bonus from 3 thousand to 4 thousand liras will be discussed at the General Assembly of the Parliament this week. Passing of this proposal will lead to the payment of an additional amount of 1 thousand liras. 15.5 million people falling within the scope of bayram bonuses will receive their awards, and it is calculated that the 1 thousand liras increase for bayram bonuses will cause an extra expenditure of 28.4 billion liras for the 2025 budget. After the law proposal is passed, the difference payments will be credited to the accounts. The bayram bonus will be increased to 4 thousand liras, and the difference payments will be credited in their accounts. The due payments from the Social Security Fund for retirees who retired under SSK will be done on March 24th, 25th, and 26th, Bağ-Kur will be distributed on March 27th and 28th. The proposal for changing the Bayram Bonus will be debated at the Parliament Assembly this week. The bonus level will be followed under the current conditions as per public servants and employees, and later it will be introduced for 2 thousand, 3 thousand liras respectfully. Upon the proposal’s approval, a thousand liras difference will be settled.
